How did you get into kitesurfing?

A good friend of ours and local waterman, who supported me from day one, taught kiting to me and my best friend at the age of 11. Since then, I couldn’t imagine my life without kiting.

What do you do before getting in the water?

Check the conditions, prepare my gear and warm up.

Tell us about your best kiting memory.

I had many memorable sessions, but one that stood out for me was the first session in South Africa, together with the World Class Academy. To share the huge excitement with so many friends felt really special.

Worst wipeout?

A few months after I started kiting in winter, I dropped my kite in 3 degrees cold water in offshore winds and got pulled out to sea quite quickly. That was the moment when I was the most scared on the water. One of my friends rescued me in the end.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

Especially my family and everyone else who is supporting me.

What are some of your goals for the future?

Qualify for all the major Big Air events and show my tricks in competition. And down the road, make a living from kiting.
